VINARSTVO REBULA
The Rebula farm and vineyard is situated in Brestovica near Komen, a small village on the Karst Wine Road, close to the Slovene – Italian border. The farm dates back to 1900 and it has been intensively engaged in viticulture and oenology since 1982.
The whole estate is cultivated by the members of the Rebula family: Dušan, Vida, Martina and Roman Rebula. It extends the area of 5.2 hectares, of which the vineyards occupy 1.8 hectares. We have 5000 vines in total: 1000 vines of Malvazija, Vitovska Grganja and Sauvignon and 4000 vines of Refošk from which Teran, the most important product of the farm Rebula, is produced. The viticulture of the farm Rebula is based on the integrated methods.
Since 1990 the farm Rebula has undertaken the 'Osmica' as a subsidiary activity. The 'Osmica' opens for ten days every year during the first week in June and offers visitors homemade and homegrown products from the farm.
